Home State:

Profession:
Communications Specialist, Waitress, Writer
Interests:
I like wearing sunglasses that are too big for my face. I use a Clearly Canadian soda bottle as a microphone in the car when I sing. I think vacuuming is therapeutic and that everyone should eat chocolate-covered coffee beans. I also like the following (but in no particular order): finding new music online, fashion magazines, going out to dinner, watching movies at home, elliptical workouts, photography, staying up late, sleeping later, road trips to VT, crab meat quesadillas, getting dressed up to go out, reunions with my hometown girls, dancing, drinking fruity drinks through stirring straws; half hour showers, avoiding the phone, PerezHilton.com, procrastinating, wearing flip flops, rearranging my apartment, spending time--regardless of what we do--with family and friends, and, most importantly (OK, this would be #1 if we were listing things in order), remembering to breathe and that life's too unpredictable to hold grudges or freak out.
Biography
I'm one of those people who has stopped waiting for change to happen and now makes it happen herself. While sometimes this can feel like stepping painfully slow into an icy cold swimming pool, once fully immersed, I feel so totally alive. I'm extremely perceptive when it comes to people. In fact, reading body language is one of my skills, Napoleon Dynamite-style. Other talents include coming up with witty one-liners at the drop of a hat and making my eyebrows go up and down, one at a time, while keeping a completely straight face. (OK, fine, I can't do it with a straight face.) Live music, reading magazines, and chocolate milk with ice cubes make me clam-happy. Styrofoam, chalk, and people with hidden agendas make me cringe. I want to drive a Mini Cooper and a Smart Car and see which one I like better. I want to take a trip to San Diego just for fun. I speak my mind but I'm better at it on paper. My few close friends mean the world to me even though we're scattered like dandelion fuzzies (the kind you wish on). At the end of the day, all I really want to do is just put on comfy clothes, relax with my iPod, and think simple Hakuna Matata thoughts. My other blog, "The Tao of Me," is at kaleenacote.blogspot.com. Stop by!
