When Laura decided to buy a car last year, she had only one requirement: “It needed to be either red, white, black, or silver.”
The NC State junior is one of three girls who take turns playing the part of Ms. Wuf at sporting events. Her favorite thing about being Mr. Wuf’s beloved is representing her school. Her car (she chose red, in the end) is covered in NC State decals. “If there’s one thing I’m glad I did at State, it’s being Ms. Wuf.”
There are rules that go along with being the school mascot, like “no talking while in costume.” Laura says talking “ruins the magic.” But on game days, she’s in her element. “I can go wherever I want, do whatever I please. I own this stadium.”
