Paul Jones - A Feminist, Literally

Beth Riley
Magnify

Long locks and erotic poetry aren’t typically used when discussing the “stronger” sex. However, in the case of Paul Jones, a faculty member at UNC-CH, founder of ibiblio.org, a library and digital archive, and published erotic poet the adjectives fit. An ardent keeper and creator of the written word, avid music buff and happily married man of twenty years is also a devoted feminist.

“Feminism is a highly nuanced and varied label. Some avoid the label but try to do the work and play of equality. I do the same yet speak up when appropriate. And I’m comfortable with the label. Early feminists wore pants; I too wear pants.”
