Matthew Illuzzi – Fearless Entrepreneur

Downsizing isn’t always a bad thing. In 2007, Matthew, with his wife, made the move from Manhattan to Raleigh. “We were ready for a change, to end the commute and have more space,” said the father of two little girls. In 2008, having worked for large corporations his entire professional career, Matthew founded his own, boutique firm New Day Business Advisors. And a “new day” it was.

Specializing in CFO fill in work, Matthew provides high-level strategy and finance work for small businesses that cannot afford a full time person. Was the leap into entrepreneurship worth it? “Everyday. Now I have the autonomy and flexibility to do what I want and I’m not a slave to the corporate world.”

What's the best thing about reading skirt!? It certainly makes for an interesting conversation starter! I enjoy the features on music and art in the community.

What's the best thing about wearing a skirt? It better prepares me for life in my home. We have two daughters, and I can imagine there will be a lot of dress-up days for Daddy, so this will be a good way to start the training.
