Keep a little green in your pocket.

Wouldn't we all love to keep some hard-earned money in our pocketbooks? I'm guessing the resounding answer was/is YES. In honor of skirt! Magazine's March Ka-Ching! Issue, we chatted with the ladies at LFC, inc., a business geared towards bringing balance and order to your personal and professional lives, about thoughtful and slightly under-the-radar ways to save money. Their professional opinions + tips are below the jump.
“Spring is a great time to organize your financial documents and the pay-offs for taking the time to do so are big. When making your files for the year, create monthly hanging folders, and then a file called “Year End” for tax documents. Within each month’s hanging folder, add color-coded folders for each bill type…Your files should be simple yet efficient. People with complex systems are less likely to use them and can waste hours trying to find what they need.”
~Jessie Bennington, LFC inc. President
“Do-it-yourself doesn’t mean Do-it-all-by-yourself. Shopping becomes an ordeal with young children in tow. Working moms save time and energy by having someone shop for and deliver groceries, for example. Also, some grocery chains offer an “express” service that lets you order online and have your bags placed in your car when you arrive. You never leave the driver’s seat, and the service costs less than $5.00.”

Overhead Busters for women who means business:
“Organize your inventory closets! We just saved a CEO hundreds of dollars in inventory for items she thought she’d run out of, but actually had buried away in cluttered storage spaces.”
~Renee Staehle, Professional Organizer
“Make sure your business books are in order before you hand them to your tax service. This makes life easier for your CPA and saves you money.
